New Anti-viral medicine Molnupiravir 100 percent stops spreading the new coronavirus for 24 hours by persons which are infected, the University in Georgia has announced.

On the Institute for biomedicine science on the American University in Georgia, a group of scientists, which leads doctor Richard Plemper, has discovered that this medicine has a cure against the infection, which they have later researched that helps against SARS-CoV-2.

"This is the first try of oral medicine which fast bans a spreading of SARS-CoV-2," said doctor Plemper, and added that this medicine might change the situation.

In time when we wait for the vaccine against coronavirus it is important our prevention from the infection, so this medicine is an happy news for everyone, it will help us to keep safe from the virus until vaccination.

On study, which is published in Nature Microbiology, Plemper's team has tried MK-4482 /EIDD-2801 against SARS-CoV-2 on a squirrel as a model of effect of the drug for stop spreading the virus. 

"We believe that squirrels are relevant model of spreading, because they easely spread covid-19, but mostly do not develope a harder disease, which reminds on SARS-CoV-2 on younger and elder population," said the co-author of the study Robert Cox.
